Highfield Healthy Lifestyle was established in 2001 funded through the New Opportunities Fund (Latterly the Big Lottery Fund).

The Programme, which had initial funding for five years, was set up with the aim of reducing health inequalities in Holmewood and Bierley, both areas in Bradford that were in the top 10% of the Governments index of deprivation in 2001.

In 2008 following the end of lottery funding, Highfield Healthy Lifestyle made the decision to become a Community Interest Company, a non profit making company that exists solely for the good of the communities it serves, rather than for the profit of its owners and directors.

Since Highfield Healthy Lifestyle began its work in 2001 we have worked on all manner of health related projects with a huge range of partners.

As a result we have managed to build an excellent reputation for the work we do and  expertise in the areas of community health development.
